There are so many people to thank for making today’s 150th Anniversary Celebration of Sacred Heart so incredibly special. First, a heartfelt thank-you to those who so often work quietly behind the scenes—the ladies affectionately known as our “kitchen ladies,” “Catholic sisters,” and “worker bees.” You outdid yourselves! Most importantly, today we honor the thousands of parishioners and families who have called Sacred Heart their spiritual home during the past 150 years. They are the true foundation of this parish. They built the church. They supported the school. They welcomed newcomers. They taught the faith to their children and grandchildren. They served on committees, sang in choirs, volunteered at events, cared for those in need, and faithfully gathered around the altar week after week.
