Funeral Arrangements for Joseph Becker
The Funeral Mass for Joseph Becker will be held on Thursday, August 6 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in the Oelwein Area Pastorate. Very Rev. Henry Huber, Pastor, will serve as celebrant. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 4:00–7:00 PM at Jamison–Schmitz Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Woodlawn Cemetery. A lunch will be served following the Committal at the Sacred Heart Social Hall. On Wednesday of this week we celebrated the Memorial of Saints Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. The Gospel tells us that Jesus found a special home in Bethany with Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. There He was welcomed, loved, listened to, and supported. Each of them lived their faith in a unique way. Martha served. Mary listened and learned.
