For the past three years, a dedicated group of parishioners has worked behind the scenes planning, organizing, and bringing to life the many events surrounding Sacred Heart Parish, Oelwein’s 150th Anniversary Celebration. Their work isn’t quite finished yet! Read MoreThe SH quilting grouphad invited Father Isaac to visit our group some time so he could meet us and see what one small group is doing in the parish. Today he showed up and we had a very enjoyable visit. We told him about our work, introduced ourselves, presented him with a lap quilt and let him pick out a larger bed quilt of his liking. We shared a little bit about Sacred Heart and he shared about his background before coming to Sacred Heart. He even tried his hand at tying a quilt the group is currently working on.
