Very Rev. Fr. Henry Huber

Father Henry Huber is the youngest of six siblings raised on a farm outside of Delhi. He is a graduate of Maquoketa Valley and the University of Northern lowa. He was ordained to the priesthood in June of 2002.
“In the 24 years that I have been a priest, I have been assigned to 36 parishes (including our current 12). I have a number of hobbies such as woodworking and target shooting that I rarely find time for. At the end of the day I usually am satisfied with a good book. On my day off, you are more likely to find me engaged with something on the farm where I grew up. I'm very happy to be with you now, I look forward to getting to know you better, and I hope to be here a long time

It is a blessing from God that I have been called to ordination as a Permanent Deacon in the Archdioceses of Dubuque. I am married to my wife Cheryl, have two wonderful married adult children and six fantastic grandchildren with a new little addition of a great-grandchild to join the team soon. Currently I am a Deacon in the "Oelwein Pastorate' for the Archdiocese of Dubuque, working at Sacred Heart Parish in Oelwein, IA
I remain active in may new duties to begin the new Pastorate, in an effort to help the transition while we look to replace some open staff positions. I am happy to help the parish at any time when called upon. I look forward to many more years of serving with and for the people of God at Sacred Heart and in our new Pastorate.
