Journeying Together Into God's Future
Change is rarely easy. It asks us to let go of what is familiar and step toward what is new. For some, the changes in Mass times have created challenges. For others, they have opened new opportunities. And now, with this issue, we say goodbye to the individual parish bulletin and begin a new chapter with our Pastorate Bulletin.
Whenever change comes, it brings both a sense of loss and a sense of possibility. We naturally cherish what has been meaningful to us. Yet our faith reminds us that God is always leading His people forward. Abraham left his homeland, the Israelites left Egypt, and the first disciples left everything to follow Christ. Each step required trust in God's guidance.
Archbishop Zinkula reminds us that once God forms us and unites us, He sends us on mission together. We are not called simply to preserve what we have known, but to become what God is calling us to be. As our parishes grow closer together and move toward becoming one larger parish family, we are invited to see not only what we are leaving behind, but also what God may be creating among us.
We may not have all the answers, but we do know this: God walks with us. Let us pray for open hearts, patient spirits, and the courage to embrace the future together. The road ahead may be unfamiliar, but it is a road we travel as one family in Christ, trusting that the One who calls us forward will faithfully lead the way.
"Lord, help us to trust where You are leading us, to support one another along the journey, and to embrace the mission You place before us. Amen."
