A Catholic Prayer for Newly Elected Officials

 Heavenly Father,

We lift up to You all newly elected officials and those they are called to serve.

Send Your Holy Spirit to guide them with wisdom, humility, and integrity. Give them courage to do what is right, patience to listen, and compassion for those whose voices too often go unheard.

May they protect the dignity of every human life, care for the poor and vulnerable, uphold justice, and work faithfully for the common good.

Guard their hearts against pride and selfish ambition. Help them seek truth, build peace, and remember that leadership is a responsibility entrusted to them in service to others.

Bless their families and all who support them. Guide us, too, to pray for our leaders, treat one another with charity, and fulfill our responsibilities as faithful citizens.

Through the intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace, unite us in hope and love.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.
