Merry Christmas from all of us at Sacred Heart Parish! We hope it was a blessed and joyous one for you and yours. The Christmas Season lasts from Dec. 25 (the birth of the Lord) to Jan. 13 (the Baptism of the Lord). In these joyous days, we reflect on the mystery of the Word made Flesh. Jesus, the tiny Bethlehem Babe, is the manifestation of God's love for humanity. The Infant, wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger, foreshadows the One who would become the "Bread of Life." In fact, Bethlehem means "house of bread." A terrific way to celebrate the season is to gather in front of the Blessed Sacrament and adore the Christ-Child. Spend time alone (or better bring a friend!), and tell Jesus how much you love Him. Time spent with someone is a sign of love for that person. Your time with Christ will pray off handsomely. Come to the tabernacle and pray in adoration, after the simple shepherds and wise men who came that first Christmas. You won't regret it!
